Booking and Cancellation Policy
Scheduling Appointments
Appointments can be scheduled by phone, in person, or through our website (www.goldmed.pt), WhatsApp, or email ([email protected]).
At the time of booking, basic personal information (full name, identification document, phone number, and email) will be requested for confirmation and communication regarding the appointment.
Appointment scheduling is subject to availability of times and the desired medical specialty.
In some cases, scheduling may require partial or full advance payment of the consultation fee, according to the clinic’s internal policy.
Appointment Confirmation
The clinic will confirm the appointment up to 24 hours in advance via phone call, text message, or email.
It is the patient’s responsibility to confirm attendance or notify the clinic of any inability to attend within the established timeframe.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
If a patient needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, notice must be given at least 48 hours in advance.
Cancellations can be made through the same channels used for booking.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, or no-shows, result in the loss of the full amount paid, with no right to a refund, discount, or credit for future appointments.
This policy ensures the smooth operation of the schedule and allows the time slot to be made available to other patients.
Delays and Attendance
We recommend that patients arrive at the clinic 10 minutes in advance.
If a patient is more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may be rescheduled at the discretion of the team, to avoid affecting other patients’ care.
Clinic Responsibility
The clinic reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to force majeure, ensuring prior communication with the patient and offering a convenient new date and time.
If the cancellation originates from the clinic and the patient has already paid, the amount will be fully refunded or credited toward a new appointment.
Refund Policy
A full refund will only be issued for cancellations communicated more than 48 hours in advance.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or no-shows are not eligible for a refund.
General Provisions
This policy aims to ensure quality care, mutual respect between patients and healthcare professionals, and efficient management of the clinic’s schedule.
By scheduling an appointment, the patient acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this policy.
